Earcatcher is a monthly collaborative project between Linda Diec, Liz Roberts, and myself. A bit about the sound design: Rushing water recorded at Clifton Gorge in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Less like white noise than I thought. The flute is a pan flute I found in my studio when I was sitting to work on this (Alenka got it for me in Peru, gracias). As for why what goes where, it’s the cosmic noodly flute coming in and out of the atmosphere. Or maybe it was the hypnogogic hallucination I had last week of Pan playing his flute (actually the yelp of a neighbor dog).
